Who are we?
We are Wav Odio. We run an app where people can record their conversation.
Important Rule First:
Our official rules say you generally need to be 18 years old to use our app. If you are under 18, you shouldn't be using this service without a parent or guardian's explicit permission and supervision, as we do not knowingly collect information from children.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
When you sign up or use our app, we collect two types of information:
The Basics:
- Your name and username.
- Your email address.
- Your password.
- Payment info (if we need to pay you).
The "Body" Data (Biometrics):
Because this is an audio and video app, we collect Biometric Data. This is a fancy way of saying we scan your voice (voiceprint).
Background Info:
We might ask about your race, language, or background. We do this so that we can make sure your data is pooled correctly.
2. What Do We Do With Your Stuff?
We don't just store your voice recordings; we use them to teach computers.
Training AI: We license (rent/sell) the photos and sounds you upload to big technology companies. They use your data to teach Artificial Intelligence (AI) how to speak and listen better.
Paying You: If your uploads are approved, we use your info to pay you money.
Safety: We use your info to make sure no one is cheating or uploading bad things.
3. Who Else Sees Your Info?
We don't keep your info in a secret box. We share it with:
AI Companies: The companies building the robots and computers need to see your data to learn from it.
Service Helpers: Companies that help us run our website, save our files, or process payments.
The Police/Government: If the law says we have to share it, we will.
4. Is My Info Safe?
We build "digital walls" (security measures) to keep hackers out. However, no wall is perfect. We cannot promise 100% that a hacker won't get in. Sharing your info online always has a tiny bit of risk.
5. Your Rights (You Have Control)
Even though you gave us your info, you still have power:
Ask to see it: You can ask us what info we have about you.
Ask to delete it: You can ask us to delete your account and your data.
Fix it: If we have your name wrong, you can tell us to fix it.
